Prince Edward Island has issued its first Business Impact invitations since February in a new PEI PNP draw.
The June 23 draw saw 20 invitations issued to entrepreneur candidates. PEI said the draw targeted workers in essential industries to help the fight against coronavirus.
Since May 29, 129 invitations have been issued to specific COVID-19 essential workers in the healthcare and trucking industries.
Of the 129, 20 went to Business Impact candidates, with the remaining 109 issued through the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.
In the first draw, dated May 29, 19 invites were issued, with 9 invites issued in a June 10 draw, 10 on June 18 and 91 on June 23.
The June 23 draw was the only one to feature Business Impact invites.
