British Columbia immigration has conducted a new draw under its popular Entrepreneur category.
After five consecutive draws of minimum score declines, the May 7 draw saw a three-point increase to 109, with 20 invitations issued through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
This was the fourth Entrepreneur draw of 2019, with 81 invitations issued so far.

What Are The Requirements For The B.C. Entrepreneur Category?
Business candidates in this British Columbia immigration category must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least $800,000;
- Make a personal investment of at least $400 000 to establish or purchase and expand an eligible business in B.C.;
- Create at least three jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents;
- Participate in the day-to-day management and direction or the business;
- Sign a performance agreement with B.C. prior to nomination;
- Candidates in the Entrepreneur category can sponsor a key staff member for Canadian permanent residence.
How Do I Qualify For The Regional Entrepreneur Category?
Business candidates in this category must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Demonstrate a personal net worth of at least $400,000;
- Make a personal investment of at least $200,000 to establish or purchase and expand an eligible business in B.C. outside the Vancouver metropolitan area and the Abbotsford metropolitan area;
- Create at least one new job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Participate in the day-to-day management and direction or the business;
- Sign a performance agreement with B.C. prior to nomination.
Meanwhile, British Columbia immigration conducted a new general draw on May 7, issuing 187 Invitations to Apply across five BC PNP streams.
Minimum scores were the same as the previous all-program draw two weeks previously.
Direct provincial skilled workers required 95 points, while Express Entry skilled workers required 105 points.
International graduates through both the direct provincial and Express Entry streams also required 105 points.
Lastly, 75 points were required for entry level and semi-skilled workers.
