An increasing number of US businesses are turning to the EB-5 investor visa scheme to obtain investment, with the development of several hotels and condominiums having already been financed through the scheme. Nearly 11,000 EB-5 applications were filed last year, representing an eightfold increase since 2008. The program has brought in $6.5 billion in investment across the US, and has helped support more than 130,000 jobs.
