Quebec May Ease Rules for its IIP After Failing to Meet Quota

The new strict rules and documentation requirements imposed by Quebec’s authorities last year, along with high application fees, are being blamed for a sharp drop in applicants to the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). In particular, a 15-page long list of documents required is being highlighted as a major deterrent. Sources say Quebec will have to adjust the selection process to attract investors to the scheme.
