No Investment Immigration Program for St Vincent and the Grenadines

The Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines has categorically rejected the possibility of a citizenship by investment program for affluent migrants seeking fast-track citizenship of the country.

After being re-elected for a fourth time, the Prime Minister opined that the nation’s citizenship would not be treated as a commodity for sale and that the country’s passport will not be offered merely in lieu of financial investments made by wealthy migrants.

This view runs contrary to other nations in the region like Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts and Nevis that have attracted investments worth millions of dollars from such programs. St. Kitts currently generates around 25% of its annual GDP from its citizenship by investment program.
