India Overtakes China to Become Top Source of Migrants to Australia

According to Australia’s Migration Trends report, India was the main source of migrants to Australia in 2013-14, with almost 40,000 Indian nationals migrating to the country. A total of 207,900 migrants settled permanently in Australia during 2013-14. In the same year almost 30,000 people born in India chose to become Australian citizens.
