Immigration Causes UK Population to Reach Record High

According to figures released by the UK’s Office of National Statistics (ONS), the country’s population has grown by half a million in the past year, with more than half of the growth resulting from immigration. The past 12 months have seen about 600,000 foreigners migrating into the UK, while 322,000 have left the country, amounting to a net migration of 260,000.
