According to Cypriot Interior Minister Socrates Hasikos, Cyprus has generated more than €2 billion from the property for residency scheme over the past two years. The scheme grants Cypriot permanent residency to foreigners upon buying property worth at least €300,000. Cyprus also offers a citizenship by investment scheme that requires a minimum investment of €2.5 million.
