Chinese Investors Look Abroad as Local Property Market Sees Slump

Chinese investors are seeking better returns abroad due to a cooling off of China’s real estate sector. Figures from the Chinese bureau of statistics show new home sales down by 17% from a year ago, with property prices down in 66 out of 70 cities surveyed. The US, Australia, and some European nations are set to see a surge of Chinese investment as a result, especially through their investor immigration schemes.
