The first Saskatchewan immigration Entrepreneur stream draw of 2023 saw 50 invitations issued through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a> (SINP).<\/p>\n

The January 5 draw required a minimum score of 80 and an average score of 85 points.<\/p>\n

The province said candidates scoring 80 points required language skills at Canadian Language Benchmark level six or higher in order to qualify for an invitation.<\/p>\n

Saskatchewan prioritizes three selection factors to separate candidates with the same score on the Entrepreneur stream points grid.<\/p>\n

The three factors, in order of priority, are:<\/p>\n

  1. Official language ability.<\/li>\n
  2. Those with businesses planned for a key economic sector.<\/li>\n
  3. Completion of an exploratory visit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The\u00a0Saskatchewan immigration<\/a>\u00a0Entrepreneur stream is a three-stage process:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Expression of interest<\/li>\n
    2. Invitation to submit application<\/li>\n
    3. Nomination<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The expression of interest must meet the following minimum entry requirements:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Minimum net worth of $500,000 legally acquired.<\/li>\n
      • Minimum of three years of entrepreneurial or relevant management experience.<\/li>\n
      • Investment of at least $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon, or $200,000 in any other Saskatchewan area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Candidates enter a pool where they receive a score. The top scoring candidates are invited to submit an application.<\/p>\n

        Applications must include:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Business Establishment Plan confirming figures in expression of interest, and including at least one third ownership of a company in Saskatchewan, unless investment is $1 million or higher.<\/li>\n
        • Commitment to be active in day-to-day management of business.<\/li>\n
        • Creation of two or more jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents if the business is located in Regina or Saskatoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
