Edward Island Invites 11 Business Candidates In Final 2021 Draw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prince Edward Island has conducted its final provincial draw of 2021, issuing invitations to apply to 125 skilled worker and entrepreneur Canada immigration candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The December 16 draw saw invitations issued through the Labour Impact, Express Entry and Business Impact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/prince-edward-island-immigration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> (PEI PNP) streams.<\/p>\n<p>It saw 114 invites issued to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, while Business Impact candidates received 11 invitations.<\/p>\n<p>Business Impact candidates required a minimum score of 67 points.<\/p>\n<p>The last draw of 2021 means a total of 1,854 candidates have received invitations this year, including 1,697 through the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams, and 157 through the noopener\">Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018, and has made monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/prince-edward-island-immigration-draws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">draws<\/a> ever since, with some disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Video: <\/strong><strong>How PNP Immigrants Can Move Anywhere in allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>PEI issued a total of 1,955 invites during 2020, up from 1,629 in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 2020 invites, 1,742 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 213 going to Business Impact candidates.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream<\/h3>\n<p>PEI\u2019s Express Entry category operates by considering candidates already in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">federal Express Entry Pool<\/a>\u00a0for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Such a nomination adds 600 points to a candidate\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/comprehensive-ranking-system-crs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score and effectively guarantees an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/invitations-apply-permanent-residence-itas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Invitation to Apply<\/a>\u00a0(ITA) for Canadian immigration.<\/p>\n<p>The PEI Express Entry Category features two pathways to Canadian permanent residence, one for candidates with a job offer and one for those without.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Labour Impact Category<\/h3>\n<p><strong>1) Skilled Worker Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This employer driven stream allows skilled workers with an employment offer in PEI to be nominated for Canadian Permanent residence if they meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full time employment offer from a Prince Edward Island business in an occupation classified as skill level \u201c0\u201d, \u201cA\u201d or \u201cB\u201d of the National Occupational Classification (NOC);<\/li>\n<li>Completion of a post-secondary education, with a minimum of 14 years of formal education;<\/li>\n<li>Between 21 and 55 years of age;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of full time work experience in the past 5 years;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient proficiency in English or French to occupy the employment offered;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient settlement funds;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2) Critical Worker Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This category is designed to resolve labour shortages and is open to foreign workers already in PEI with employment in specific critical demand occupations. The primary criteria for nomination are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full time offer of employment from a Prince Edward Island business in one of the following occupations:\n<ul>\n<li>Truck driver;<\/li>\n<li>Customer service representative;<\/li>\n<li>Labourer;<\/li>\n<li>Food &amp; beverage server;<\/li>\n<li>Housekeeping attendant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>6 months of work experience with the Prince Edward Island business offering employment;<\/li>\n<li>Current valid Canadian work permit;<\/li>\n<li>High school diploma and minimum of 12 years of formal education;<\/li>\n<li>Between 21 and 55 years of age;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of full-time work experience in the past 5 years;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate basic proficiency in English or French language;<\/li>\n<li>Sufficient settlement funds;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated intention to settle in Prince Edward Island.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Prince Edward Island Business Impact Category<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Work Permit Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individuals applying under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.immigration.ca\/prince-edward-island-work-permit-business-immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">P.E.I.
