Prince Edward Island has conducted a new entrepreneur immigration draw through its Business Impact stream, issuing invitations to 12 candidates.<\/p>\n

The June 17 Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> (PEI PNP) draw required a minimum score of 60 points.<\/p>\n

The same draw saw 101 invites issued through the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.<\/p>\n

PEI launched its Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018 and has made monthly draws<\/a> ever since, with some disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

PEI issued a total of 1,955 invites during 2020, up from 1,629 in 2019.<\/p>\n

Of the 2020 invites, 1,742 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 213 going to Business Impact candidates.<\/p>\n

Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream<\/h3>\n

PEI\u2019s Express Entry category operates by considering candidates already in the\u00a0federal Express Entry Pool<\/a>\u00a0for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n

Such a nomination adds 600 points to a candidate\u2019s\u00a0Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score and effectively guarantees an\u00a0Invitation to Apply<\/a>\u00a0(ITA) for Canadian immigration.<\/p>\n

The PEI Express Entry Category features two pathways to Canadian permanent residence, one for candidates with a job offer and one for those without.<\/p>\n
