Newfoundland & Labrador immigration\u2019s Expression of Interest system for business immigration will \u2018proceed without interruption\u2019 during the coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The province will open a new invitation round for its International Entrepreneur<\/a> category from April 17 until April 24, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It will be the fourth application window opened this year for the Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Nominee Program<\/a> stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Further application windows are planned for May and June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The International Entrepreneur category is intended for experienced business owners or senior business managers who wish to permanently reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. <\/p>\n\n\n\n NL PNP International Entrepreneur Planned Application Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, the EOI system for International Graduate Entrepreneurs<\/a> remains open year-round. The stream is aimed at Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic international graduates who own and operate a business in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Read More<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Newfoundland Announces Four New Rounds For International Entrepreneur Expressions of Interest<\/a> The NL PNP says it will continue essential services<\/a> for newcomers and employers during the coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Application screening and processing will continue at reduce volume, a statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The NLPNP continues to accept applications online, but paper applications are no longer being accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The same applies to applications for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEmployees who are in the process of providing documentation to employers as part of an AIP application should do so electronically,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Employers should scan and send AIP applications by email<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The statement says designated employers under the AIP will remain designated until further notice and Job Vacancy Assessment (JVA) applications will continue to be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For candidates currently outside Canada, Newfoundland says application will continue to be processed, \u201cbut you will probably not be able to arrive in Canada in the near future,\u201d due to federal government restrictions. However, the federal government has announced a number of exemptions<\/a> to the ban on people entering Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Candidates who have submitted permanent residence applications should \u201cwait until there is communication on alternative ways to land in Canada,\u201d the statement said. Biometrics submission for applicants is currently suspended until April 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
