Prince Edward Island immigration<\/a> has conducted a new Expression of Interest draw targeting Business Impact candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The October 17 draw saw the province issue 12 invitations to apply, with a minimum score of 122 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The draw also saw 146 invites issued to Labour Impact\/Express Entry candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEI launched its Expression of Interest system<\/a> at the start of 2018, and has made monthly draws ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PEI issued a total of 1,446 invites during 2018, the first year it operated an Expression of Interest system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of these, 1,240 went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates, with the remaining 206 going to Business Impact candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest draw took place on October 18, 2018, when 297 candidates were invited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

PEI\u2019s Express Entry category operates by considering candidates already in the federal Express Entry Pool<\/a> for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such a nomination adds 600 points to a candidate\u2019s Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a> (CRS) score and effectively guarantees an Invitation to Apply<\/a> (ITA) for Canadian immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PEI Express Entry Category features two pathways to Canadian permanent residence, one for candidates with a job offer and one for those without.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Skilled Worker Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
