Documents Required:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For all Temporary Visas<\/h3>\n

a. Valid passport with expiry date not less than 30 days prior to the intended date of departure of the applicant
\nb. Yellow fever vaccination certificate, if applicable.
\nc. Medical report.
\nd. Radiological report, not required for pregnant women.
\ne. Marriage certificate or official recognition of spousal relationship issued by the authorities of the foreign country of the applicant.
\nf. An affidavit in event of spousal relationship with a South African citizen or resident.
\ng. Proof of cohabitation and sharing of financial responsibilities between the applicant and the spouse.
\nh. Particulars of children in the spousal relationship.
\ni. Divorce decree or legal separation order, if applicable.
\nj. Order of a court granting parental responsibilities and rights to the applicant with regard to his\/her children, if where applicable.
\nk. Death certificate of spouse, if applicable.
\nl. Written consent from the parent of the children of the applicant, if applicable.
\nm. Proof of adoption of the children of the applicant, if applicable.
\nn. Police clearance certificates for all individuals aged 18 years or above who have been included in the application. Certificates must be obtained from authorities of all countries where the individual has resided for a period of not less than one year after attaining the age of 18 years. The certificates should not be older than six months from the date of submission of the temporary visa application.
\no. Proof of educational, trade or professional qualifications
\np. Proof of payment of all prescribed fees and charges.<\/p>\n

Additional documents required for Business Visa application.<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Certificate issued by a duty registered chartered accountant professional accountant in South Africa certifying compliance with the minimum investment requirement.<\/li>\n
  2. Undertaking that 60% of all employees shall be citizens or permanent residents of South Africa.<\/li>\n
  3. Letter of confirmation from the Department of Labor that 60% of all permanent employees are citizens or permanent residents of South Africa. This letter of confirmation must be submitted to the Director-General within 12 months of the issue of the business visa.<\/li>\n
  4. Undertaking to register the business with the\n
      \n
    1. South African Revenue Service,<\/li>\n
    2. Unemployment Insurance Fund,<\/li>\n
    3. Compensation Fund for Occupational Injuries and Diseases,<\/li>\n
    4. Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission (CIPC), where required, and<\/li>\n
    5. Relevant professional body, board or council recognized by the South African Qualification Authority, where applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The applicant must submit the certificate of registration to the Director-General after the registration process is completed.<\/p>\n

      1. Recommendation letter issued by the Department of Trade and Industry about the:\n
          \n
        1. Feasibility of the business, and<\/li>\n
        2. Contribution of the business to the national interest of South Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          An applicant investing in an existing business must submit all the above-mentioned documents along with the following additional documents:<\/p>\n

          1. Financial statements of the business for the preceding financial year, and<\/li>\n
          2. Proof of investment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Additional documents required for Retired Person Visa application<\/h3>\n
              \n
            1. Proof of minimum monthly income of R 37,000 for the applicant derived from pension\/irrevocable annuity\/retirement accounts or combination of assets, or the applicant\u2019s net worth, as applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Documents required for renewal of Business Visa<\/h3>\n
                \n
              1. Certificate issued by a duty registered chartered accountant professional accountant in South Africa certifying the continued investment of the original cash investment made into the business.<\/li>\n
              2. Letter of confirmation from the Department of Labor that the business continues to employ citizens or permanent residents of South Africa for 60% of all permanent positions.<\/li>\n
              3. Tax clearance certificate issued by the South African Revenue Service with effect from the date of the commencement of operations of the business.<\/li>\n
              4. Proof of contributions made to the Unemployment Insurance Fund and Compensation Fund for Occupational Injuries and Diseases.<\/li>\n
              5. Proof of registration with Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission and professional body, board or council recognized by the South African Qualification Authority<\/li>\n
              6. Recommendation letter issued by the Department of Trade and Industry about the:\n

                1. \u00a0 \u00a0Continued feasibility of the business, and<\/li>\n
                2. Contribution of the business to the national interest of South Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                3. Financial statement of the preceding financial year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Documents required for renewal of Retired Person Visa<\/h3>\n
                    \n
                  1. Proof of minimum monthly income of R 37,000 for the applicant derived from pension\/irrevocable annuity\/retirement accounts or combination of assets, or the applicant\u2019s net worth, as applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Documents required for all Permanent Residence Permits<\/h3>\n
                      \n
                    1. Proof of payment of application fee,<\/li>\n
                    2. Copy of applicant\u2019s birth certificate,<\/li>\n
                    3. Biometrics for all individuals included in the application form who are aged above 16 years,<\/li>\n
                    4. Proof of yellow fever vaccination certificate if the applicant has travelled or intends to travel through a yellow fever endemic area<\/li>\n
                    5. Police clearance certificate,<\/li>\n
                    6. Medical and Radiological reports. Not required for pregnant women and children aged less than 12 years.<\/li>\n
                    7. Unabridged birth certificate of each dependent child of the applicant,<\/li>\n
                    8. Proof of change of name, surname or gender, if applicable.<\/li>\n
                    9. Proof of visa if the application for permanent residence is made within South Africa<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
