The UK government is set to approve higher fee limits for the Tier 1 Investor visa for the year 2016-17. The new rules will come up for Parliamentary approval in April 2016. The new rules will determine the maximum fees that the Home Office can charge for visa, immigration, and citizenship applications for the next four years.
The UK Tier 1 investor visa cost to rise in april 2016
The fee for Tier 1 Investor visa applications made by applicants from within the UK will be increased from £1,093 to £1,500. For applications filed outside the UK, the fee shall rise from £874 to £1,500.
While authorities have clarified that there are no plans to increase fees immediately, the ultimate goal is to ensure the immigration system is self-funded by 2020.
