A study by the Bertelsmann foundation has revealed that Germany’s working population will decline by a third by 2050 if the country does not take steps to increase immigration from non-EU countries. The study says Germany needs between 276,000 and 491,000 net immigrants from non-EU nations every year to maintain its economy.
